Oscar de la Renta is a designer typically associated with evening and formal wear like dresses and tuxedos, but part of the Oscar de la Renta fashion line includes fragrances, especially evening fragrances like Oscar. Oscar by Oscar de la Renta was introduced in 1977 and, as an evening perfume for women, the scent has been described as being oriental, floral, and refined with a combination of basil, jasmine, lavender, and sandalwood. Oscar is also formulated to be a cologne and, for men, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta has notes of bergamot, vetiver, cinnamon, carnation, and moss. Both are fragrances for evening or romantic purposes.

But, Oscar de la Renta perfume and cologne isn’t exclusive to evening scents. Another commonly requested Oscar de la Renta fragrance, Volupte, was introduced in 1992 and is also an oriental and floral fragrance, but this formula is designed for daytime wear. Oscar de la Renta Volupte is made of melon, mandarin, mimosa, carnation, and lily of the valley, with notes of incense and amber.
